West Yorkshire UK RP
Implemented core gameplay, customization, inventory, prison, and security systems for a Roblox roleplay experience, improving both player depth and exploit resistance.
The Project
West Yorkshire UK RP is an open-world Roblox roleplay experience built around player identity, occupations, law enforcement, and persistent progression.
My role combined gameplay development and systems engineering. I worked across multiple areas of the project, including factions, prisons, jobs, inventories, customization, exploit mitigation, and live maintenance.
The project was particularly interesting because it required many independent systems to work together seamlessly. Character appearance, inventory state, occupations, prison status, and player progression all needed to remain synchronized.

Factions and Teams
I implemented structured faction systems allowing players to join groups such as police, civilians, and criminals. Each faction had its own permissions, behaviors, and gameplay expectations.
- -Team-specific permissions
- -Faction management
- -Role-specific behaviors
- -Shared progression support
- -Multiplayer synchronization
Prison and Arrest Systems
Law enforcement gameplay required robust prison mechanics capable of supporting arrests, incarceration, and eventual release.
- -Handcuff mechanics
- -Secure prison zones
- -Sentence tracking
- -Release handling
- -Escape support
Inventory and Item Systems
I expanded a custom inventory framework supporting modular item storage, drag-and-drop interactions, and persistent player ownership.
- -Custom inventory UI
- -Drag-and-drop support
- -Persistent item ownership
- -Consumables
- -Custom tools and equipment
Placement and Customization
Players were able to personalize their environments using placement, wallpaper, and coloring systems. These systems persisted across sessions and contributed significantly to player identity.
- -Furniture placement
- -Object interaction
- -Wallpaper application
- -Dynamic coloring systems
- -Persistent customization
Jobs and Progression
The roleplay experience included structured occupations with associated rewards, tools, and progression paths.
- -Occupation systems
- -Job-specific tools
- -Reward handling
- -Progression tracking
- -Role-specific interfaces
Avatar Systems
Character identity is a major component of roleplay experiences. I worked with avatar customization systems supporting catalog items, outfits, accessories, and replication.
- -Catalog integration
- -Outfit handling
- -Accessory support
- -Appearance replication
- -Persistent avatar state
Exploit Mitigation
A significant portion of my work involved identifying and closing exploit vectors related to inventories, catalog integrations, and third-party purchases.
- -Inventory duplication prevention
- -Unauthorized avatar manipulation fixes
- -Third-party purchase validation
- -Ownership verification
- -Secure item replication
Security was especially important because many gameplay systems relied on persistent ownership and player identity.
Additional Features
Beyond core gameplay systems, I contributed to several supporting features that improved immersion and player engagement.
- -Bounty boards
- -Player notifications
- -Arrest alerts
- -Reward messaging
- -UI responsiveness improvements
Collaboration
I worked alongside designers, UI artists, and backend contributors to ensure systems integrated cleanly into the overall roleplay experience.
This included supporting live updates, fixing production issues, and maintaining stability as new content was introduced.
What I Learned
West Yorkshire UK RP reinforced the importance of interconnected systems. Roleplay experiences are effectively large collections of smaller gameplay loops that all depend on one another.
The project demonstrated my ability to work across gameplay, security, persistence, customization, and live maintenance simultaneously while maintaining a cohesive player experience.
